Kukiaio
Kukiaio proposed a relaxed and quaint environment with artwork of local artists, located in a private walking alley and providing service in a large terrace and street front tables.
A large amount of travels helped me gather cooking books from all around and after a year of testing, Kukiaio provided a menu, that was a wonder to each customer. Simple, yet rich flavored dishes catched the palate of constant customers and also got rated at The New York Times among the best restaurants in the city. The strategy was simple, superb food in a relaxed environment! With a full capacity of 120 customers and a service team of 22 staff members, all of them university students, a primordial criteria to work with our team.
The work environment was based on trust and comradeship focused on service. Customers constantly remarked that it could be felt and enjoyed.
As a gathering venue, it hosted private events, DJ gigs and film presentations projected on the side wall of an abandoned cinema.
Kukiaio started being the single restaurant in a small walking private alley. Up to date, 14 restaurants share the success of a vision... converting it in the High street of the city, the place to see and be seen!
Kukiaio is considered by many to be the father of this successful food and drink corridor!
La Diavola Pizza
The first son of Kukiaio, It resembled its core concept, but with a new rebellious personality! it had an alternative look, rock indie music and it served pizzas and gelato.
Again, the menu considered everything but your traditional Italian pizza. The thin crust pies were covered with a combination of toppings that gathered asian, oriental, middle eastern and even Latin American flavors.
Gelatos even had a section of alcoholic flavors. Again, a menu to be discovered on each visit!

A small group of designers, but mostly friends… Bohemian, artists, travellers, with a strong innate bonding nature, have wanted to make a living out of a seemingly unavoidable constant in our professional lives; be creative while enjoy gathering with friends, design while having their fondest conversations, share music findings, commenting on art discoverings but mostly share and construct collectively some of our most creative moments.
Are you an artist and need some inspiration? Seeking for a candid art conversation? Or just in need for a good time? Mezcal Design Club is a place for superb world food and drinks but even more so, a place where artists and art lovers can share views, work and also express their spontaneous art creativity.
This quaint unpretentious small Club in Central Soho counts with Mac computers on the bar walls, a music studio, animation lab, gallery, high speed internet access, and ultimately wrapping paper, pencils and inks, so members can have the availability to either get crazy creating art, hiring equipment or specialized artists for specific art works for their personal or firm needs, or, just a pint for those wanting to make that haunted quick draft.
Our gig place is one with a succinct but creative design. Our music and our gastronomy express world’s culture and feelings. Our tools and workshop, help us enjoy in a leisurely way and share what we know best and love more… art & Design.
